Spring booknote

(Posted by Jennifer)

Two quick ideas from me, as I craft a Hogwarts castle from spice cake and mocha buttercream.

Many of you have wondered what’s up with the book project, so sadly stymied by the current publisher. K and I had a meeting this week to figure out what’s next, and we’ve got a fantastic plan for moving forward. So we think it’s likely you’ll see Berger and Johnston in airport bookstores near you—albeit in perhaps a slightly longer time than we were originally hoping. Keep sending us the good wishes, though, as we begin anew the search for a publisher for this thing…

Also, Thursday was as perfect an afternoon as you could imagine. Before Girl Guides, the kids and I went down to Campbell park to practice soccer, throw the ball for Perry, and watch the sun set. Here’s a wee video of a regular perfect sunse at the park.

And, for those of you who are confused seasonally (which we think is most of you), you should know that 1 September, which it is today here, is the official first day of Spring. So, as you go about your business today, you can walk around and smell spring in the air. At least if there’s a breeze from the south…
