This blog has turned into a tale of two different journeys: one we picked and one that picked us. In 2006, we moved to New Zealand to create a new life. In 2014, Jennifer was thrown into the world of a breast cancer patient. Here she muses about life and love and change. (For Jennifer's professional blog, see cultivatingleadership.com)

tying a bow on the weekend
Ok, the actual blog about this will come tomorrow, but here are a couple of pictures of the magical place we live.
Hi Jennifer! It's Linda Ristig from IET! When I stumbled upon your website, it was on the day that Barack Obama had won the election, and you had written about celebrating American democracy in NZ and the American Dream. You even mentioned how you made contact with Mark. I smiled to myself when I realized the blog brought you right back into my life, but I didn't respond then. Today, I saw your rainbow, and remembered the thoughtful and thoughtprovoking sessions we had, both in and out of class. As D.C. is inviting the world to watch the peaceful transfer of power, we'll walk a new bright path to try new ideas. That's what your rainbow picture reminded me of this morning! I believe that maybe, just maybe, the other end of your rainbow touched me! Keep well!
