This blog has turned into a tale of two different journeys: one we picked and one that picked us. In 2006, we moved to New Zealand to create a new life. In 2014, Jennifer was thrown into the world of a breast cancer patient. Here she muses about life and love and change. (For Jennifer's professional blog, see cultivatingleadership.com)

Aidan reading
Here's our boy who is learning to read quite beautifully. That process is like magic, isn’t it?(He’s sort of a liminal zone reader, too.)You’ll also see our house on a grey day…

Jenn et al,
So pleased that Catherine sent along your blog, and promptly signed up. Great to read that fresh writing voice and hear your report on the video - so much fun with you, meeting Michael and your kids in NZ. That video will have to suffice for a quick trip! Appreciated the opporutnity to meet your family!
Your notes remind me of the time when Cathy and I came down here from Philly and went to the grocery.... reality shock comes first then the groove arrives, as you noted. Metro Philly to Portsmouth VA, beehive hairdos and pink toreador pants with a major values leap. Could eat a sandwich while the lights changed and all the world was in slomo.

Will be in touch, thanks
