When the rain finally clears...

These pictures are from our walk on the beach after dinner last night. The rain finally cleared and we walked up the expanse of beach to a stream that comes out of the hills and joins the ocean. The kids love to climb into the hills and down to the stream and look for interesting driftwood and shells.

And on the way back down the beach to home, the sun was setting into low clouds, making amazing patterns on the clouds on the hills and over the ocean. Aidan kept calling to us to admire the shifts in light, as Naomi searched for his shoes (abandoned somewhere on the beach on the walk to the stream).

Now the first of the new furniture is being delivered and the kids are sniping at one another in the chilly morning. Let the summer holiday festivities begin…
